Gilmanton Historical Society Archive Business and Industry

Most likely the "Slipper Factory" on Mill Street next to the Suncook River. This may have been known as the Gilmanton Iron Works Manufacturing Company. It is said that for a time the Town Meetings were held in the Factory as it was the largest inside open space in town. (J. Hall 11/1/22).
